Architectural photography Düsseldorf

Within walking distance of Altstadt, the old town of Düsseldorf, you will find MedienHafen. Surrounded by modern architecture, it seems like you’ve landed in a completely different city. Unique buildings, mostly designed by famous national and international architects. A delight for the eye!

Het Museum Insel Hombroich in Holzheim near Neuss is a new kind of Open Air Museum wit as catchphrase “art parallel to nature” (In German: “Kunst parallel zur Natur“). The museum consists of several elements. First, a park-like landscape (Sculpture Park) with scattered exhibition buildings here and there exhibiting modern and contemporary art. Nearby is a former missile base that has been transformed into a suburban landscape with buildings and institutions serving contemporary art and architecture. Here is also a new building by Tadao Ando for the Langen Foundation. The whole falls within the Stiftung Insel Hombroich. The museum belonged to the German/Dutch partnership Crossart.
